I went to Santander today, and they were all "Oh we have to submit a report and it has to be investigated" and all that, so it's like ... annoying. I lost all confidence in arguing my case in there Social Anxiety Disorders are awful D:<

That and Natwest closes at 4:30 so didn't get to see them ...

I'm going to go again tomorrow. There's another branch in town (like, three stores down from the one I went to) so I'm going to go there. I'm going to demand a full and immediate refund and threaten to go to a financial ombudsman if they don't.

I'm also going to go in to the 3 Mobile store and talk to them about this fraudulent transaction.

And Natwest because they think I'm not me so I can't buy anything online

    I'm not a girl D:<

I have food. I can use the debit card at a cash point (and presumably in person). I just can't use it online. I got a letter back home today saying I'm being investigated because of some possible fraud or something, even though when I went in to Natwest on Monday they said it was fine ...

Do you have any links handy that deal with overdraft charges in this case? They may try to dispute those. The statement my parents forwarded to me today says they're charging me £40 tomorrow ...

No, but you can argue that you were only overdrawn because of the mistake, so they should refund them. If they don't then write a letter to the complaints department (in fact, I'd do that anyway as the first branch were so unhelpful), or if necessary go to the financial ombudsman.

To the bank it's only £40 in charges, but you going to the financial ombudsman would cost them lots more.

Cool I'm going to get this sorted out D:<

I was on the phone with Santander (I still type Abbey every time ...) this afternoon and the guy was really helpful. I got put on hold while he was contacting the Fraud department and then I ran out of credit
