I am a guy and my hair is quite long now (it feels long anyway but its not girls length hair, to clarify). after washing and drying it, it often looks messy. messy but not in a good way - it looks greasy (even though I've washed it), darker in parts and clumped together in other parts. in general, it looks a bit of a mess even after i have washed it. it makes my hair look a bit like a tramp - not good.
so i was wondering - how do i make my hair shinier and more even after washing? i currently towel dry and hairdry it (a bit). what other things should I do to make it look neater and messy but in a good looking way? thanks

Don't put anything on it after washing- try and refrain from using fingers or brushes/combs to mess with it and leave off the conditioner for a while if you use any.
