Hello, I'm currently doing this course at AS. I have the purple text book (published in 2000) but to be quite honest, It's terrible and from looking at reviews online, most people seem to agree with me.

It's not that I'm finding the course overly difficult as I have a great teacher, but I am slightly concerned that I cannot revise much (if at all) outside of lesson because of the poorly designed book.

I was going to buy the updated version (Published in 08) but is it any better then the original? I don't want to spend almost £20 on a text book only to find it is just as useless as the first. Is there any other books or resorces you would recommend for the course?

    Cheers, Ollie.

I have the updated one, and it's just as **** as the original. The CGP revision guide seems to be only vaguely decent resource available.
