I'm an independant candidate, got 6 exams this month but am currently 60 odd ucas points away from what the uni I want to go to wants. My personal statements good, and my reference is okay too. Should I atleast get an offer, or will they reject me straight up for not being close enough to the points they want.

I doubt they will reject you straight away, you should at least have a chance. Good luck.

You might have a chance. I had an offer, despite their entry requirements being 40 points higher (Leeds), so it depends! Good luck though!

I was predicted 270 points. I wanted to go to Bournemouth to study computing and they were asking for 300 points. After arguing with my teachers and requesting help from my head of sixth form no one wanted to raise my predicted grades. Despite this, I was given an offer of 240 points. So you never know.
