Hi, I'm looking for a little help with my retake on the 28th.

I found this thread from June when I failed it but didn't want to dig that back up again. It's useful but doesn't really help my problem. I got my paper that I failed back and it's clear I didn't use the sources enough, relying almost fully on contextual knowledge...

Thing is, I've been trying to get to grips with sources from past years and it's very hit and miss. Sometimes (rarely) I can write really well and analyse in depth. Other times it just seems impossible to infer anything beyond the obvious message of the source, and it is rubbish.

It's obvious the sources are where my problem is, I am reasonably confident with my knowledge and a week of learning specific facts isn't a problem.

Has anyone got any tips for analysing sources on this exam, or is anyone else retaking?!

I'm also retaking. I found these marking schemes which are quite useful:
