Alright, I bought one of those packs of fresh chicken, and it's supposed to go off today.

It says I should use it immediately after it's been opened, but I didn't read that part ( ) and I opened it on Wednesday night.

Think it's still good to eat or should I chuck it?

I'd eat it.. as long as it doesn't smell bad or anything it should be fine

What does it smell like? if it smells off or bad then don't eat it, but if it smells fine - and I imagine it will. Then it will be fine to eat. Most things are still good after there use by, especially if they are sealed.

If it was still sealed I'd say deffo ok. as you've opened it, I'd say probably ok, do the sniff test!

Next time put the un-eaten chicken in an airtight container/seal it/wrap it in clingfilm and then it will last longer.

    Hope that helps

You'll be fine, as long as it's been in the fridge and not just out on the kitchen top since weds

If it smells funny, has a funny colour, or tastes funny, don't eat it (or the rest of it, if you've tasted a bit).
Companies generally err on the side of caution when it comes to those guidelines. It says you should use milk after 2 days of opening, when a carton might actually last closer to a week.

If you're vegetarian, I wouldn't recommend eating it...
