Well i transferred course at manchester uni. I didnt have to drop out and re-apply. All i had to do was ring up the new course admissions tutor and have a chat about the requirements and why i wanted to transfer. I sent her a copy of my ucas application form from the previous year i just happened to have kept.

I don't think it would be too much of a problem but since you are changing faculty and everything they might ask for slightly more from you. Also do you know if you meet the entry requirements? if not they might be a bit more hassly.

    good luck though

I decided after 3 months I wanted to change course and they told me to achieve a 2:1 in my first year and they'd let me transfer into second year of the other course. Might be similar for you, then again, journalism and nursing are pretty different and they may want you to do first year nursing. Anyway, email/go see the head of the nursing department and see what they say.
How are you feeling in the run-up to Results Day 2018?
