I would ask her personally but my final draft is due tomorrow so I can't. On the comments of my first draft, she wrote, "I have a feeling this may be over the word limit, in which case the place to prune would be the last section on the success of a marriage, pruning it down to the contribution of money, as it is at this point that the essay loses some of its momentum." Does she mean that I should leave the bit about money in or cut it out??

She means cut it after you've discussed the value of money, I'm thinking :/

I think she means that you should leave in the bit about the money, but cut out the stuff that comes after it..

Leave the bit in about money, cut out the marriage bit.

Okay but it doesn't make sense...the bit about money is before marriage so I'm really confused. Would anyone be absolutely LOVELY and let me email them the part of the essay I'm talking about and see if you can make some sense of what my teacher's on about?
