Anyone had a Interview at York for law?
If so, How was it? What sorts of questions did they ask and how did you prefer?
Do they ask questions specifically about Law? I.e. Will I need a good understanding of the English Legal System to do well in the interview?

    Thankyou, TheCount.

    Hi

Yeah I had my last March mate. They put up 100 questions on the york law page on the Uni's site

They asked me questions very specific about law, specifically the globalization of the law in the world etc.

Best to check their website and see what questions are there this year

What:| Are you joking? The 'interview guide' says the questions largely orientate around reasons you're studying law, why you chose PBL etc. They say there will one or two questions about controversial current affairs but says nothing about having to have an extensive knowledge of the legal system already! Out of interest, are you studying there now?

when I had mine 2 years ago there was about 100 questions if i remember...and any 10 could be asked.

No I turned York down on results day to go to my insurance choice of Northumbria Uni, Solicitors Exempting Degree.

I think you'll be interviewed by 2 people, not as scary as you may think, just show them some spunk! Or adrenaline if you prefer I thought I cocked up the interview, and wasn't going to get an offer, but did, so you don't necessarily need to be perfect.

Well done for getting into the shortlist though.

You can also pop over to the York forum, if you want more info, I think there's a thread somewhere on the first page about the law interviews. We can be very helpful!
