Hello! I've just been conditionally accepted onto my desired course but the conditions are:
"This offer is subject to you obtaining

Subject to achieving 240 UCAS tariff points from the BTEC

    National Diploma qualification"

now this is where i got confused, ive already got about 120 points, does this mean that i need 240 from this course or just as long as the additional points from this course top my ponts up to 240? (sorry if this isnt clear, my mind is all over worrying!)
    thankyou for any help!

Are your 120 points from the BTEC scheme or from other qualifications (music exams etc)?

you need 240 points in total from the BTEC National Diploma, so providing the 120 you already have are from the diploma, you just need another 120. If however your current 120 points are from something else such as AS levels, you probably need 240 from the BTEC course.

Sounds like you need to get all those points from the diploma (so you'll need MMM).

In that case, ask the university directly.

In which case you should be fine. May still be a good idea to check though. Did they just say it had to be from the BTEC scheme, or did they actually specify which BTEC? It sounds to me like when they make offers like "BBB at GCE A Level"- it doesn't matter which A Levels you get the grades in unless they actually specify a subject

EDIT: I may be wrong on this- I don't know much about BTECs/Diplomas :\

:giggle: did you keep a straight face as you typed that?

OP: as others have said, you need 240 in your BTEC. So if you already have 120 of that, it does mean you only need another 120.

I have no idea what you are talking about. Straight face? Yes, I did actually. Is that a problem? What are you implying?
