I'm in need of advice with regards to driving schools, more specifically those in Manchester!

I'm really not sure if spending a far whack of money more on the likes of BSM is really worth it? I'm getting conflicting opinions on the differences between national schools and local independent ones. When I see the differences in price I'm wondering if it really reflects on the quality of service.

Has anyone got any advice or even better any recommendations? It would be greatly appreciated!

My istuctors independant. I would prefer him as if i wanted to use a national e.g. BSM i would have to spend atleast half an hour traveling to get the centre where all their lessons go from. My instructor picks me up and it also gives me a chance to practice in less quiet areas before starting on a bigger toen. Theres also the fact that im driving into to town so it gives me experience on faster roads and also country roads.

Does anybody know- if I have an EU drivers license from a country where you drive on the right (and by this I mean both right physically and right as in the correct side of the road), am I legally allowed to drive a car in the UK?
