ugh, I've been doing these since I was in year 5; started with junior though, obviously. I really don't even want to do it tomorrow, they bore me to death - where I can breeze through the GCSE exams and get 100%, these actually make my head hurt.. and that hardly ever happens to me with anything but French. Hoping for a gold though, didn't get one last year for the first time. Seeing as this is my last chance do do intermediate I'm thinking it might be a good idea to actually try.

I got gold and best in school in the Junior in yr 8. I didn't do one in yr 9. I'm in yr 10 now and doing the IMC tomorrow. I'm getting gold in IMC past papers though so fingers crossed.

    Good luck to everyone else

I'd prefer clarification on whether or not we are allowed to discuss it yet.

I'm quite sure we are because it is not a Edexcel/CIE/STEP exam. (These exams are taken all over the world, but the Maths Challenge is run by the UK Mathematics Trust.)

Okay then, good. I found it pretty easy. Attempted 23 questions.

No we are not are able to discuss it yet. Fortunately no-one has said anything too important, so it should be fine.

Although it is organised by the UKMT, people across the world sit it.

(And hence different time-zones, so some people won't have sat it yet.)

Similar to the short time after the official sitting of the British Maths Olympiads [who publicly ask that there is no online discussion of the paper], I imagine UKMT would prefer it if you weren't to discuss the challenge until tomorrow.

Im not sure about this, I thought it was just the olympiads that were sat by people in other countries, I could be wrong though.

Au contraire mon frère, I think there are people taking the Challenge in different countries.

Everyone feel free to PM other people as a substitute until tomorrow.

No, PMs aren't really allowed as it is still using the TSR medium to discuss exams. Although, I don't know if TSR can actually check PMs.

I doubt it,... it'd be an invasion of privacy, hence the word "private".
