# Intermediate Maths Challenge 2010 watch

I hope, but I doubt that will get me into the Olympiad.
If they're lower, I'm in.
2. I actually think the paper was easier than last year's, I got 80 last time I think
3. (Original post by JChoudhry)
I got 84
Made some really really stupid mistakes
Don't worry, so did I, and one of them was in the deduct 2 marks section
4. I didn't get any of the 21-25 questions I attempted right. That means I lost 6 marks. I didn't get any other ones wrong which lost marks.

Then I got 89 marks.

83 = not good enough for the olympiad.

I didn't even attempt 21-25, I only did 1-17, 19 and 20. Got 3 of 1-15 wrong due to bloody silly mistakes.
I'm sure though alls well that ends well.

thanks, I'm in year 12 so I think I'll probably be getting the Kangaroo like last year
I'm in English Y11; last year I got 98 and then got a merit in the hamilton.. this year i think i have 92, but i'm not sure..

Looks like the Kangaroo for meeee.. shame.. I would have loved to get into the Maclaurin

I'm guessing that for the Hamilton.. it will be around 89-95.. around that mark.. anyone got any better guesses?

no problem!
good luck
15. I thought I had 96, which might have got me into the Maclaurin, but I realised I got 21 wrong, so 89.
I really wanted to get into the Maclaurin....
SO MANY mistakes! (Which I think sums it all up for many people).

Couldn't agree more..
17. So guys... the threshold for gold? What are we guessing?

I'll say 71.

That would be higher than last year
I'd say about 65 for gold, 95 for Maclaurin, 88 for Hamilton.

mm.. so Gold boundary will be almost the same... but Olympiad cut-off will go down a little...?
I agree & I hope
