How do I send a letter abroad. I want to write a letter to someone in Italy. What stamps do I need and how many?

You should try asking the workers in a post office.
    It's their job and all...

    Here's what you do.

Write the letter. Put it in an envelope. Write the address. Go to THE POST OFFICE and say "I would like to send this 1st/2nd class please". And then you pay and leave and it will be sent. Then you go home and stop being a moron.

Pay someone to hand deliver the mail.

Judging from your situation and previous posts, this is apparently a "useful" answer.

Other than USE THE INTERNETS obviously.

You won't be able to do anything yet if you don't go to the post office...and yeah you basically go to the counter and tell them where you want to send the letter to. Then it goes from there.

No, you have to take it to the counter so they put it in a special sack. Sometimes they have to weigh things as well (Mum worked in there up until a few weeks ago so I know a fair bit about it).
