I will try and keep this as brief as possible. Basically I left school and went to college and studied a BTEC National Diploma in ICT I passed with the grades MMM. Then I decided to do a BTEC National Diploma in vehicle technology/motor-sports which I will complete in 2 years time.

My question is can I use the ucas points from both qualifications?

If so this will give me around 400 ucas points +

    Thanks

    400? Pah. I have 560.

To actually answer your question, I doubt it. I would expect universities to look at your best BTEC results. Probably best to ask the universities themselves and see if they would count the points from both.

Why are you going for another btec out of interest? Are you hoping to get enough points to get into one of the top Uni's?

If that is the case he will be disappointed as the top universituies don't make offers based on the UCAS tariff.

I kept the above brief but as you have asked I was advised the best route to get into motorsports for me was through the ICT side and get an apprenticeship. Well the recession hit and basically cr*p hit the fan.

So I have decided to do another BTEC to get a better base knowledge on motorsports while saving money so I will be a little more comfortable. I have been doing this since September and have already made 2 very good contacts so feel very positive about it all!

I'm not looking to go to a top uni only Hertfordshire or Oxford Brookes.
