ok, i really need your help guys. it's my bf's 20th birthday in a couple of weeks at which time we'll be in the states. i want to do something really special for him, as he always suprises me with romantic dinners etc. i was thinking if a parachute jump or something... something he'll remember forever. what do you think? would you appreciate something like that? what's your dreamdate? (events not person!) phoebe xxx
That is a difficult one! Hopefully he isn't scared of heights :P I think that sounds like a really good idea, something extreme and unusual. You can find stuff like riding an aeroplane, handgliding, etc on net. If he is a car bloke, i've heard going on race cars is really fun, but i do not know the availabilty in the states.
Take him to an oceanarium and go swim with the dolphins. Trust me on that - it's something that will stay with the pair of you for the rest of your lives.

I'm sorry but the only thing I'd want to do would be to spend an entire day together chillin. Maybe a movie, just keeping everything in the home and close proximity to the bed

Yeah swimming with dolphins is great, although I can't believe is was voted #1 of the top 100 things to do before you die on TV recently - I mean it isn't life-changing or anything. I still think it's a good idea though, although maybe driving sports cars is more suitable - depends on what type of bloke he is I reckon.
Either way, I hope you have a fab time - and just the fact that you're going to the trouble of planning something special will mean a lot to him I'm sure. x
I would suggest something where the two of you could be alone or seem alone so in that case, dolphins sounds a good idea, also hot air balloon but someone else would probably fly it which would ruin the moment possibly when you are in a small basket.
