UCL Computer Science

Dear all

I need ABB to read Computer Science at UCL, and I have already got an A in Maths. What if I ended up with ABC, or ACC even, on the results day? What's the likelihood for them to accept me? Can I read a CS related subject at UCL with these grades if CS is gone? How hard is it for me to read CS elsewhere through clearing with ABC or ACC?

It depends on how many other applicants reach their offer. However, its quite possible that at most places they will let you in if you miss by a grade. UCL is quite good for computer science so obviously it is less likely that they will but they may have a few places left on results day so my best advice would be to get on the phone to them quickly if you don't meet your offer.

As for places in clearing there are likely to be quite a few for computer science. The course at many Universities is now less popular than it was a few years ago and hence there may be less people meeting their offers than actual places. I wouldn't worry too much to be honest because ABC or ACC is still pretty good and you'll definately get in somewhere, although it may not be as prestigious as UCL.
