I just knew you'd love it - it's one of the best episodeds we ever had It's a hard call between this one and OS for me. I loved reading your musings by the way; not commenting on them because literally all I can say is 'PREACH!'

    About your question:
    Spoiler:
    Show
There's way too much I'd put on there! 'Bossy', 'Know All' and 'Fangirl' would all be pretty accurate If I had to stick with the ones actually used in Glee it would probably be 'Lucy Caboosey'
It really was an amazing AMAZING ep and I want to rewatch it but I'll wait until the week after next.
    Spoiler:
    Show
If you weren't a fangirl this thread would be SO boring! Do you remember how dead it used to be? Lucy Caboosey makes me giggle so much! It just sounds so funny!

    Spoiler:
    Show
I only found out about the black hair thing when I saw something about Beyonce once and it mentioned how a lot of black women didn't have their natural hair all the time. I love Mercedes' hair when it's natural, it looks so much better. In OS when she did Hell to the No it was obvious it was a wig and it was so straight it just didn't fit her. I feel odd about my hair sometimes because I don't straighten it and at college everyone had their straightened but I just figured mine was straight enough so shoved it into a ponytail all the time and that was that.

    Spoiler:
    Show
The t shirt thing...it's a good question but I can't help thinking they all had t shirts for different reasons. Like Mr Schue at first said they'd be about something you were ashamed of and wished you could change but were born with and had to accept, and that makes the 'likes boys' and 'lebanese' ones kind of offensive but later on they said it was something you had accepted about yourself which I thought was more accurate when describing the point of them. Then again...Emma's was more about admitting something was a part of her but she had to work to get over it and other ones were about things they couldn't get over or recover from. So...mine should obviously probably be something about anxiety if I was going the Emma/OCD route but I'd probably go for my nose like Rachel if it was something about appearance, I hate it especially in photos but I don't think it's significant enough for me to want a t shirt about it and to embrace it I'd probably get the Lebanese one  it was so funny because that's what Ellen said her character was coming out as in her sitcom years ago (my knowledge of lesbian culture is showing). You should embrace being short! It can be cute, like Lea Michele (ahhh Lea Michele ).

This whole self esteem thing brings me to
    Spoiler:
    Show
Lea Michele and Dianna Agron (because I'm like that). Everyone seems to always say Dianna is the pretty one and I agree her face is practically perfect in terms of symmetry and proportions and she does look striking but I've always preferred Lea Michele to her () her nose has never been an issue for me. I think I just prefer a face with character and everyone takes the word 'character' to be a bad thing, as in maybe they're not stereotypically beautiful but I love faces with something in them if that makes sense. What a pointless rant that was. Only in spoilers because I mention Rachel's nose.
    Spoiler:
    Show
I agree with you about Lea/Rachel. I think she's gorgeous! Dianna is gorgeous too but she's gorgeous in a perfect sort of way. They both have different but equal forms of beauty, I think. The T-shirt thing is confusing. You're right, there are so many ways of approaching it. One of my best friends is shorter than me and she's adorable! To be honest, I think I'd feel weird being taller and complain about that! I read a Glee fic last night where someone had the T-shirts a lot more dark and revealing. Sam had 'anorexic' and Tina had 'cutter' and I can't remember the rest but it made me cry a bit. I don't think I could be as brave as Emma and admit mental health things on a t-shirt. I talk about things a lot online but the internet is anonymous. People in real life seem to be tired of me. So yeah, I'm not actually sure what I'd put on my t-shirt. My height is annoying but it's not like I'm going to get my legs stretched!

woah, that does sound dark. I couldn't have it on mine either, I'm very brave on the internet with it but in reality I'm not at all....too many people have too many stereotypes about things like that and I always feel they assume things about you if you admit to having something.

I think it's better just to copy the Glee club ones. They have all the designs on this site although I think the t shirts are slightly less fitted that the ones on the show. http://skreened.com/wiseshotshirtsbtw plus some others and they actually have fan boy, fan girl and theatre nerd

I think its amazing that Glee is on Fox considering how well known the network is for its conservative agenda. Two points:
    1. Ryan Murphy was smart in lettling Glee get famous and then slowly introducing the gay/safe sex/equality message. If it had been gay kisses at the start it would not have been accepted
    2. I think its amazing quite how gay Glee is considering its in America. I mean the only less stereotypical gay character I can think of than Blaine is Maxxie from Skins and thats Britain not America. I'm pleasently surprised with it

How HOT is Kurt in that song??? Oh my goodness... I can't believe Mercedes' t-shirt is 'No weave'. They're seriously delving into black hair issues on Glee too?? :adore: Wow. I'm seriously impressed. I have noticed that in America, very few black women have their natural hair. In this country... I'd say it's a bit better but I haven't really noticed many people with natural hair. It's true that not having your hair in a weave is an issue. I've been natural for about 8 years and I find that people who aren't black tell me my hair is beautiful and people who are look down on me because I don't put chemicals/dead people's hair in my hair! Sorry, that was a random rant! I'm just very impressed they even broached that (minor) issue in the ep!
    Spoiler:
    Show
I have my hair natural too :five: I'm so glad my Mum refused to let me pern/relax it when I was younger. I see a lot of black/mixed race girls with DIY glue-in extensions and weaves and I'm sorry but it just looks a little silly. I wonder if they know a good weave is supposed to look real? :p:

Santana: ... I'm definitely thinking Tina's looked into getting eye de-slanting.

Santana: Look, maybe Rachel’s fine with having an enormous beak. Maybe she needs it to crack hard seeds.

Santana: I gotta gay... go. I gotta go.

Santana: I'm a closet lesbian and a judgmental *****, which means one thing. I have awesome gaydar.

Santana: You really need to be more careful with your leering.
Karofsky: I was just checking out what kind of jeans he was wearing.
Santana: Like that's any less gay.

Santana: The only straight I am, is a straight-up *****.

Rachel: [On Barbara] Is she here?

Oh yeah, it's amazing it gets away with it and I'm so glad they introduced it slowly. Anyone who says it has a gay agenda I just laugh at now because, although it does have at least 4 gay characters now there are a lot of straight characters too and they're just making sure they cover a variety of gay characters which I think is great because all too often people will dislike one gay character and form stereotypes about all gay people from that one character. Now they have all different personalities covered so it's all good

I was surprised that they let Brittana on the bed together. This is a country that got Ellen off the TV just a decade ago when she came out and just from these videos that come out after every gay incident on Glee you can see how the conservatives are still very vocal. I don't think they realise that if anyone is drawing attention to 'the homosexual lifestyle' as they insist on calling it it's them. On shows like Glee it's just a normal thing.

I can't believe people who ship Kurt and Karofsky, I really can't. Found a link to a BTW recap and ended up on a shipper comm and I had to quote this because I'm aghast.

Well, even if Dave has a big crush on Kurt (which I think he has) I'm afraid a closeted gay teenage boy can't help but check all the asses he can.

I'm pretty sure Dave never kissed a girl (or boy) before the locker room scene with Kurt, and he must be full of raging hormones, hence the rage. I think what links him to Kurt is deeper than sexual attraction, I think he admires him for being out and free and and respect him for not telling about his secret.

Sexual attaction + admiration + respect = strong fondation for love.

Umm...where do bullying and death threats fall?? Can't believe people...

    there are no words.

I have no idea where people get love or passion from that kiss, it probably was a mixture of hormones and rage but it was violent and disgusting especially given his bullying past.

I know, it's like I've had to sit through an awful lot of straight kissing and sex scenes which have been less than wonderful, at least most of the gay relationships I've seen have been meaningful. I love that these people seem to think it'll convert people to being gay-if you could be converted wouldn't the overwhelming amount of straight relationships on TV convert all the gay people? They really have no logic at all. If they put in a race or religion and said 'this show is too ...' it wouldn't take long for them to be shot down so it shouldn't be allowed when they're talking about gay things either. That women was the best after the Klaine kiss, she's managed to watch a series for one and a half years with a gay character in from day one, did she expect him to stay single forever or be cured or something?

Now I just want Chris Colfer to have a boyfriend, I'd be so happy for him

I think the Kurt one is the most popular at the moment. I think Lucy Caboosey was just the nickname that had been made up-I saw someone on tumblr earlier saying about how we were all analysing it when the promo came out thinking we'd missed some slang and it turned out it was just a nickname now. It's pretty funny and explains why I like small spoilers-I always go down the wrong track with them  I did find something about caboosey being a big 'ass' too in america which would make sense if she'd lost weight.

I saw those photos a few days ago from when he performed in New York and I thought, well the cat's kind of out of the bag now. I saw one post this morning with someone saying they'd gone off Chris now because he let it slip and they felt sorry for Darren, apparently Chris seems like a horrible person  I just sit there laughing at them and then continue playing Kurt in my roleplay.

I have no idea how he's still single, bet he won't be for long after that.

With all the pictures of Darren's girlfriend now popping up on tumblr I think I'm developing a crush on her

and OMG your 'that's what happened on Kurt' thing  We NEED to make it happen. I smell a fanfic coming up
Got a link? Does she still look punky and scary or is she actually hot underneath the make-up? LOL at pictures of her being spammed! I love Glee fans! They don't miss a trick!
Why, thank you! I'm dying to write a 'Kurt' spin off! We should! I'll be Ryan Murphy and you can be Brad! :awesome: It should start with Blaine and Kurt in their senior year (in the Glee world) and then follow them while they're at college (Blaine will go to... Columbia. Or maybe Kurt will go to Columbia and Blaine can go to NYU! Or they can both go to the same uni!) They'll be staying in a student flat with crazy roomates! I'm envisioning a musical version of Gossip Girl haha!
