this is my plan i really just started to think about so rally need help.
i plan to after uni (july 2011) to go and travel around latin america for as long as possible.
so far it's only me going alone though i would like to go with someone.....
i want to do volunteering work, learn more spanish and travel.
any suggestions on where i should start to look, ho much it may cost for about 4 months, what i should expect, cheapest country in south america to travel to.
i travelled to spain on my own for a month but i guess this would be a greater deal being so far away
I'm not really sure what i really want to ask. I just want to hear about people's experience travelling abroad and just get some help in general.

Everything i've done has been through the uni - perhaps check out if any societies have good links with voluntary organisations in the region.

Take a look at this thread, I and several other people have posted advice about South America in there
Granted that's really about the where to travel to and the costs aspects, rather than the volunteering one, but you may well find it useful.Last edited by FormerlyHistoryStudent; 25-01-2010 at 01:37.

Start in the Falkland Islands. In a minefield.

Start in Brazil and go and watch some football that is what I would do.

Just go to Peru - it's got everything! My all time favourite destination!
