    HI,

I am still a bit confused as to what to expect:

will i be given i.e four names of solids/ solutions and then contents labeled A B C D etc. and match them up?
Or will i have to figure it out from scratch?

    Also how long is it?

is there any way of revising for it?

Any general comments as to what to expect?

    Thank you

Usually, it is not that simple, you would probably be told the unknowns contains ions let say A, B or C where all are known.
    - Then they could probably ask you how to determine which one of A, B or C does it contain? ie test
    - Or the procedures could already be there, you are just to observe and record them.
    - From your test, then you are to deduce the unknown.

There are other variations to qualitative experiments, but most importantly is the observations and knowing the positive results for different tests(for ions - cations and anions)
