i don't mean the kind of girls who mess you about so much that they end up sleeping with your best friend and stuff, but one of my male friends told me i tend to play mind games with other guys a bit, and then he said 'that's not a bad thing just an observation'. i'd never actually noticed it about myself before, but i know that the 'chase' is always the funnest part of a relationship - or whatever you want to call it - for me. i dunno, is it a really bad thing?? i guess it's my way of testing people out, i never ever open up to people unless i'm 100% sure they have the depth for it

It's just using subconscious social tests on people, your brain is trying to get you to pick a good partner, if they fail these tests you become less attracted to them but you often might not know why.

Girls who play games are girls who can GTFO, in my opinion.

Any girl who tries to 'test' me will very quickly find herself single again.

Mind games are a pile of ****. If a girl starts trying them I'm going to get pissed off and put of by her.

But everything we do is at least a subconscious test, if you have a conversation and they haven't said anything interesting or funny you're already testing them. If a girl didn't test me how would I know that she wasn't just settling for the first guy that came along. I'd much rather pass the more stringent tests of one girl as it shows that she values me rather than accepting me before she even knows me.

Personally, I dont feel the need to prove myself to a girl.

I agree, it's not about proving, but if I don't have at least some chemistry with a girl than it wont work out, that's a test. I think we just have different definitions of tests.

Doesn't bother me. I'm good with destroying those tests.

i think i do this. it explains why i am so hopelessly single, i suppose. i really don't mean to do it, i just get into situations where i like a guy but not enough, so i carry on the flirtation stage too long and the guy realises i'm not that into him. then there's often a confrontation and i don't know what to do or say so they leave....

i guess i know what i'm doing wrong but i can't stop it, it's like a vicious cycle of my self-esteem...

It's a bit lame and childish. People make partners with those they get on with, not the one's that mess around.

    Yeah...

The instance I know someone is playing games intentionally. My respect for them drops alot. I wouldn't even stay as friends.

I'm really not that desperate to be in a relationship.
