Mornin', gays. Epic multiquote-post, for old times' sake.

Night :hugs: I'll remember that for future :giggle:

Tis good advice :yep: the icecream part seems to be making me feel better about my cold at least
Nom. Which variety of ice cream?

    (Original post by Crisps)
Ice cream is bloody cold though! :afraid:
I thought Northerners could cope with the cold? Or is ice cream too wimpy for you when it's not deep fried?

I think I've just had an epiphany... Over the past week I've started to read more about LGBT history and the revolutionary events which have helped us live our lives a lot more comfortably than people used to. Seriously, I was reading about the Stonewall riots and I could feel this overwhelming passion take me over - if it wasn't for the people in those riots (amongst many others) we wouldn't be able to stroll into a gay and feel safe. I just can't help but think how unhappy I would be if it weren't for them - we have a long way to go and need to continue the legacy.

So I'm ******* proud to be gay  and hopefully if I get the co-chair position of my university's LGBT next year I can actually encourage the committee to get passionate about gay rights...
Have a look at GYUK and QYN, the two big LGBT youth forums; QYN in particular can get quite political, and there would definately be people there to point you in good directions.

Sounds like a fun epiphany, though.

I think I'll be regarded as a fool for asking this but who's Brent Corrigan?
You're on the internet, is that really a question you need to ask? :p:

    But yeah, Google and enjoy.

    (Original post by Bezzler)
I definitely don't have the flu. I'm not ill at all. I have perfect, logical reasoning to support this thesis:

There are many things it is possible for me to do in life
Currently, be ill is not one of these things, as there is not enough time in the day for it.

Therefore, it is impossible me to be ill.
If you're being logical, the first premise is unnecessary. What you want is something along the lines of:

    1) I can only be what there is time for me to be.
    2) There is no time for me to be ill.
    Therefore, I am not ill.

Brent Corrigan has nothinggg on Brent Everett
    *melts*
    ahh!
    Sounds good.

It was about homophobia pretty much, and how being gay just isnt discussed, especially if youre in a team sport - which means that homophobic attitudes are pretty commonplace. Meaning that David Ginola thinks that in 18 years of football he's never met a gay man, and he made a remark about being in the showers that I didn't work out but I know was retarded :/

The stuff the US military comes out with about letting gays serve openly is just as crazy, but things do seem to be improving. Some Irish hurling guy (pretty much the most macho sport possible, apparently) came out a few months back, so horay for progress.

    It's your birthday tomorrow? Woohoo!
I cannot party my birthday with my old school friends. I will be at uni..

Anyways, she told me yesterday that it went a bit too fast for her. We want to talk about it today, so she's coming over. But I don't know what to think. I don't want to mess things up.
    Girls.. way too complicated. -.-

Btw, that Corrigan guy does look handsome, I must admit. :p: But yeah, kinda boring too, tbh. But nevertheless good-looking.

That's what I thought.. Okay, but I've got no idea how much pain he must have endured tbh :p:

Oh, what I wanted to ask, guys..

There are lesbians who hate men and bisexual women. Which I don't really understand... and I don't like those kind of lesbians. But does this exist in the gay men "world" also? That some gay men hate women and bisexual men? Because I've never heard of that.. So I'm interested.

I think there does exist a stereotyped woman-hating gay guy, who doesn't see the point in women. To be honest, I have very few female friends, but that's basically a consequence of going to a boys school and not having the same sort of incentive to seek girls out as most guys do. :p: I get along with the girls I know, but I'm a far cry from the image of the gay guy with all female friends.

And I've heard lots about biphobia among gays/lesbians, although haven't seen any myself. That's usually linked to the idea that bi people must be confused, or they're just trying to take an easier option.

When going to a boys school I guess it really is difficult to find female friends. So you are excused. :p: I used to have more guy friends than female friends during school time even though it was co-ed, but I just got along with guys better than with girls..

I really don't get the biphobia. Gays want to have all the tolerance and acceptance in the world, yet many cannot give the same to bisexual people? Seriously, what the ****? I think that is pretty ****** up...
But maybe I'm too liberal. :p:

Yeahh...I'm not making a deal out of it, except for I have treated myself to a new phone and a couple of other bits

I cannot party for I had an exam today, I have a meeting tomorrow, and another exam wednesday morning. Would celebrate the weekend, but I'm doing Race for Life on Saturday so Friday is out of the question, and Saturday night is someone else's party....Sunday is back to revision.

I tried to have a gathering on Saturday but everyone was "busy" :shifty:

No such thing as too liberal.

I don't get it either, to be honest. I suppose when people feel they've built up their community, there's a tendency then to be isolationist. But it's a bit silly.

Woo, Race for Life. Good luck!

You should hijack the other person's party on Saturday. :yep:

Gays: tempted to get this towel for Zante. On a scale of 1 to lynched, what's your opinion? :p:
