But girls ***** so much when they're in their little girly groups or when they go to the toilet together (something I'll never understand), I've never known guys to gossip as much as girls do.
I don't get this either, although at the same time I can sort of understand it - girls are naturally talkative and when you're in a club, going to the bathroom together is the only opportunity to gossip and the like. And the *****ing - man is it BRUTAL. Girls appear to have so many close friendships but I always have to question them because they always ***** about the pettiest things.

I never understood that either. :lolwut:

And I never ***** when I'm in my girl group. Actually, this year's the first time I'm experiencing something like a "girl group". xD I prefer mixed groups tbh...

I'll never understand girls, but I love them anyways. :yep:
Guys are awesome to hang out with!

Yeah, I've noticed that especially since I started uni. I've known a group of girls at uni to exclude another girl because she didnt like a cookie that someone baked.

But girls are so much work, no?!

EDIT: Altho I will agree, aesthetically speaking, women are actually ******* beautiful :p:
The results are worth it though - love, trust, sex and all that.

I know you will hit me back saying you could have that with a guy, but I like guys for sex. Couldn't really see a guy replacing a girl really.

Lies! Don't know what you people see in girls. :nope:

Guys are just so much nicer in every way.
You're entirely biased though, you hate the ladies :awesome:

I was drinking Swedish vodka (with Coke) alone.
This is where I chip in and ask to claim my membership for the TSRLGBTCT Drinking Alone club; I'm in right? I have whiskey.

Hahah what the hell!? I would have executed her. No one makes me cookies I don't like  (but seriously that is messed up)

Nah nah I see what you mean - men are notoriously more 'emotionally distant'. You may agree with me on this though, but I think it'll end up being a case by case basis for you when it comes to meeting potential partners. Every guy and every girl is different Some guys will be easier to trust and will be more caring. Perhaps some girls may be more sexually charged, etc.

No worries, I am still sane :teeth:

Bodies - depends on the boy (some are fit and some are ugly). but i'd say they are equal on that - depends if I am in a girl or boy mood too :p:

Personalities - girls more than boys :p:
Nah, I prefer boys' personalities, although perhaps that's just because I talk to more guys than girls.

Really? I can see that some women are aesthetically good looking, but that doesn't seem to correlate with what my straight friends find attractive; big breasts in particular don't look nice at all for me. Hot guys can also be aesthetically gorgeous too, though (thinking of the Jean-Paul Gautier eu de toilette bottle here).

I don't hate the ladies! I just completely fail to be turned on by them at all. There have been nights where I've tried to put on an interest in girls when clubbing with straight guys, but it just doesn't happen at all.

You are hereby admitted into our club. Not a fan of whiskey myself, though.

I've tried, honest. Even watched straight porn (ew).

Don't mind you having more whiskey. Just leave the vodka, gin, rum, and most other spirits to me.

This is the sort of perserverance this generation is sadly lacking. Even though he doesn't have his favourite booze, Mike, is staying with the cause and drinking port. Dedication!
EDIT: Okay, I think that means I need to sleep

I've done nothing but eat and read James Baldwin's Giovanni's Room in one sitting today. Along with A Home at the End of the World it's actually made me enjoy reading gay fiction. I don't think I've read a more evocative prose in any other book and although it was sad and tragic it was never depressing. Has anybody else read a book that really stays with them after you've finished it?

I'm off to town tomorrow to stock up on more books for holiday. I plan on buying some or all of the following:

    The Front Runner
    Boy Meets Boy
    Maurice
    The Swimming Pool Library

Gay fiction aside, I don't really know what else to try. I've recently read The Shining and Misery so I'm not really in the mood for a psychological thriller/horror. Maybe something more light-hearted and funny. Any recommendations?
