I'm in my second year and can't decide what to do with my summer this year. I don't want to waste it away working. I'd rather set aside some money I've got and do something beneficial. Any advice? Organisations you recommend reading about?

If you're in your second year the best thing you can do is an internship.

most effective use of your time would be to work work work, but for some great fun and life experiences you could go to Camp America, or just go travelling with some mates? See some parts of the world you haven't seen..

As others have said, an internship would be ideal in the second year, otherwise traveling gets my vote. There's nothing wrong with keeping a job at home, going to a few festivals and doing your usual hobbies if your friends are around though.
