I don't drink at all and I had a great time during freshers week and whenever I go out.
    No one really cares.

In my final year of university I can quite confidently say that everyone worth knowing drinks

I only drink with family so I doubt everyone drinks. I'm not going to at uni.

Don't worry about it. I was worried for the same reason, and came to uni and discovered that it was pointless. Yes of course people do drink at uni, but no one cares if you don't. Some people do get shocked when they find out, but they get over it. Others seem to admire my self-control... Then of course, there are also quite a few other people who don't drink either.

Guinness is a meal in a glass!

I know a few people who don't drink and they seem to be fine about it. As long as you can have a good time when everyone else is drunk there shouldn't be a problem. That said, I went out sober once and it was a horrible experience.

Why does the alcohol-free lager have so few calories?

People binge drink at Uni and stand outside my house and argue with each other, play Guitar Hero (when they finally do bugger off in Home) till 5 in the Morning and just make noise in general !!

P.s. Drunk Girls + Guitar Hero or Rock Band = Oh my fudging word, where are my ears running off to !!

There's less calories in Guinness draught than in most lagers?

    Wait, what?

I've now found an excuse to start drinking Guinness whilst eating my corn flakes.

    No.

I am what you would describe as tee-total, and I don't think I've suffered as a result. No-one really cares.

    What's tee-total?

Yes, its a fact that every single university student binge drinks every night. You are the only person out of the hundreds of thousands of uni students who doesn't want to drink.

Okay Jen, let's think about this.

If it's alcohol free lager, then it's likely that fermentation has already happened... so there should be lots of calories. Clearly something's been removed, but what? :curious:
