I'm looking for a new pair of GHD straighteners - or something just as good and, as you do, I looked on Ebay. The search came back with lots of other brands claiming to be just as good, such as SHE, which I thought looked the best out of the wannabes. It's got loads of positive feedback but I thought I'd check if anyone has used them before - how good are they? Do they work just like GHD's?
Hair tools are good as well. I got them from a hairdressing website for a discount price and they're just as good as GHD's. Think they were about £28 when i got them. But i think they've went up a bit cos that was at xmas.
You can't beat GHDs seriously... my hair's damn curly and firzzy and the only things that can tame them are GHDs, and I've tried numerous other brands that claim to be exactly the same but they're really not.

Yeah I know I've tried and love 'em but I don't strighten my hair that much, at most twice a week and so I don't really wanna spend £80/£90 on GHD's.

I only straighten mine twice a week, maybe 3 times, cos that's how much i need to wash it. However, I agree that they are the only ones I've ever tried that do the job, no imitation has matched up to it! I have no idea why though, surely they aren't that difficult to get right?! I got them off the GHD website which was excellent, got delivered really quickly, have a good guarantee and they've lasted me years and still look brand new. It's just my opinion but if you have properly frizzy hair like me...get GHDs!
My hair is not that frizzy, in fact it's pretty straight, just kinks when I tie it up but sometimes I want that dead-straight look. I've decided to get the SHE ones, it's £25 and they can't be wose than the ones I have now (some really old Babyliss ones that take an age to heat up to a dismal temperature!). However I'm still a bit sceptical so is there anyone who has tried these!?!?

I brought she strighteners of ebay last week and so far so good-aditable not as good as ghds but they heat up really fast and incredibly hot and my hair is naturally curly with a bit of added frizz. I think it mainly comes down to the technique of straightening your hair.

Thanks! Has it done any damage as far as you can see?
i have a set of futura's and there great. But ive had a really short cut with choppy layers in, so i dont need them cos ive got rid of the length and kinks.
I had a pair of GHD straighteners. However after about a year they caught on fire. I heard several other cases of this including electric shocks. I replaced the plug but the same thing happened again. Scary stuff. I now use futura ones, my hairdressers use them and they're great. On par with GHD i find, and only £40!
i got them from a professional hairdressers supply wearhouse, they said that alot of salons used them. I cant comment really. The warehouse is in heath hayes if i recall correctly.
