Find/ join the fb group. The presidents (or whatev) are in the group and they give any information you need.
    Pretty reliable source.
    hey, what's the groups name?

As I have said before, there is actually a fairly decent kitchen per floor at rosebery, everyone on my floor cooks their dinner in it (which for the boys is often steak and mash) every day without any hassle.
Also, I'd just like to add guys that Rosebery got officially voted most sociable hall in LSE on Monday...just to prove how amazing it is once again!

    question:
are there only 13 twin rooms available at roseberry?
and do they have an en suite bathroom?
    tia!

how long did it take LSE to give you an email notification that they had received your application for accomodation? I sent mine off yesterday, and it still hasnt come through yet, they say to contact them if its taken longer than 7 days but I would just like to know how long it took for other people so I can stop worrying. thanks

It does take longer than that, mine came 3 or 4 days later.

Mine took a week, but I applied before it opened, so that's probably why it took a bit longer...

How long does it normally take for them to allocate accommodation after your form has been sent in? Does anyone know what proportion of people get their first choice accomodation?

Does anyone know how the priority allocation for people with disabilities and long-term illnesses works? The form is ridiculously confusing.

Economically (and, I stress, only economically), yes :p: I'm an anarcho-capitalist.
It's +10 iirc, so right at the end of the scale.

I looked at it as I fancied blagging a lower floor room due to my knee.

I saw the form and immediately though '**** it - I'll just refill my prescription more regularly'.

Hahaha, that sounds sensible, you have to send a bit off to your doctor and everything! Oh well, at least they're being vigilant, and it's nowhere near as bad as the 30-page long Disabled Student Allowance form (ie. pure hell).

    Feck that.

I don't think I'd qualify for anything that serious, but my knee does generally let me snaffle free upgrades and stuff Yay for nerve damage from stupid falls.

    tia!
Just read through a whole lot of posts and thought I'd reply to a few questions.
Firstly, as far as I know there are two twin rooms per floor from floors 3-9, so there are 14 twin rooms (I think...where did you get 13 from?! There may be one or two twin rooms on floor 2 but as far as I know there isn't).
Also, as I have said before, in the undergrad Rosebery wing there are NO ensuite rooms, you have no chance of getting one here as an undergrad so theres no point even thinking about it.

Also, someone asked what the Rosebery bathrooms are like...I've mentioned it before but they are shared, cleaned every day and pretty okay. I'm a bit of a squeamish girl and they've never bothered me. They're just bog standard uni bathrooms.
I also saw mentioned someone asking if any hall has a free pool table? Rosebery does in the bar alongside a table football table, and the committee is ordering a brand spanking new pool table ready for you freshers to enjoy next year! Me and my friend are also trying to persuade them to get a dance machine as some of our best mates are on the committee...so ya never know Rosebery may have one of them next term too!

If anyone has any other questions about accommodation (well, mainly Rosebery) feel free to message me as it's a lot easier for me than having to trawl back through all the posts on this thread!
