Well... for the ELLA4 coursework unit, does the essay have to study the poems of, for example, two different poets, or can two poems written by the same poet be analysed?

the passages all have to be of the same theme...e.g. your thesis could read;

"Compare the ways in which Irving (if you're doing Owen Meany) and Dickinson explore the themes of love and loss in...........and..........and........."
