What would you do if you saw your boyfriend/girlfriend holding hands with someone else? Would you get pissed off?

if it was a girlfriend holding hands with a guy i would be peeved, but if she was holding hands with another girl it would be a case of counting my blessings and blagging a threesome

It happened to me at a may ball. I apparently looked like I wanted to kill him. Then had an hour long shouting match, gave up, went to get smashed and then shouted at him some more the next day.

An arm around a shoulder can be interpreted in a million ways but not holding hands...

Reply 5

Yes, although i'm in no real position to talk. :|

Reply 6

Lauren, why are you still with him? You keep telling us about how you don't want to be.

Really depends on the circumstances. My brother, his best mate and their respective girlfriends are all really close and always hug and hold hands. Obviously there is a limit, but it really depends on what the situation is.

Imagine him kissing one of your best mates infront of you then. :frown:

Um, I'd get annoyed...I hold hands with my girl friends a lot of the time, but never the guys...

Double standard here though, I often hug my male friends and fall asleep on them and stuff, but if my boyfriend did it I'd kill him.

I dislike hand holding full stop, so yeah, I'd be well fcked off if I saw my bf holding hands with another lad!

Girls Girls Girls

If a guy does that with another girl, he simply doesn't like you that much! The message is clear isn't it?

Doesn't mean we can't want to castrate him.

I think it depends. I like the whole hold-handing aspects of relationships. But yes, obviously if my boyfriend was having hand-sex (as I jestingly refer to it! :p: ) with another random girl, I'd be pretty pissed off. However, some dudes have really close female friends, so if your boyfriend is holding hands with a girl that you know, and trust, and she's a close friend then it probably would be acceptable, although that's not to say no jealousy would occur. It's natural to be jealous; hence, boyfriends/girlfriends even get jealous of the attention their partner's own family recieve sometimes!

But yeah, basically, I would be pissed off if he was holding hands with a girl, who I knew was not like a really close friend. He shouldn't really be doing that - holding-hands is a relationship thing, or a girly-friend thing.

Saying this, most girls (I know I am) are more touchy-feely, so as somebody mentioned, double standards do come into play. I tend to touch people lightly, hug them etc, but only as friends. But when you are seeing somebody, you should tone it down a touch.

Basically, I don't think you're a possessive freak. He shouldn't have been randomly holding-hands.

Incidentally, the romantic hold-handing master: Jamie Dornan. *drools*.

(Sorry, this is just a blatant excuse for me to declare my love for this Irish sex god, and also, the hand-holding ritual...):

I would get very upset and annoyed. In addition, it might lead to a break up. :frown:

wow. It's only a hand. I often hold my friends' hands. But I guess it helps that they're my girlfriend's friends too.
