OK, so basically I've been persuaded to do this 10 mile trail race on 7th March (Salomon Turbo X). I only got told about it about 4 days ago and haven't done any proper training for over half a year(I've got an ongoing shoulder problem) I work about 5/6 days a week and am out at 7:30 and home at 8 so finding time to train is a bit of an issue.

How on earth am I going to go about getting ready for this? At the moment 5km is taking me about 35 mins(bad I know :o: ) and my stamina is badly lacking. Can I get fit in this time, or have I bitten off more than I can chew?

    Cheers for an advice!

    Try this

You might have to cut some of it off, but you should be able to manage it. You might have to use run-walk intervals, but 10 miles is quite manageable.
