Just out of interest which ones will be in the top 10 in a decades time. Given that funding has all changed and universities will be scrapping for cash, do you think it will be the same. Will LSE/Imperial take over 2nd or 1st spot. Will Manchester get into the top 10 and Warwick slip out?

Here's mine to start things off:

    Cambridge
    LSE
    Oxford
    Imperial
    UCL
    Warwick
    Bristol
    Edinburgh
    Nottingham
    Manchester

This is mine based on the ones with the most money and seeming ambition for the future.

    Lets see yours guys.

The gap will get smaller between Oxbridge and LSE/Imperial, to the point where it is almost non-existent or reversed (as it already is for some subjects).

Apart from that, probably the same.

As my top 5. I reckon although Oxbridge will still be regarded as the best, statistically and by the index measures Imperial will be ranked to be the best. If funding starts to get lower the top London unis will probably fare better.

Warwick will be up there somewhere, it's relatively new and is constantly improving.

Then why did you bother looking and replying to this thread then? Think about it.

Everyone on this thread so far, if you cannot say anything constructive then dont say anything at all.

Oxbridge will always have the elitest reputation of being the best and that is one tradition that will never change but LSE/Imperial/UCL are still great unis and the gap has closed academically.
