# C4 Binomial watch

1. I need some helo with the second part of this question.

Expand (1+x)^1/2 is ascending powers of x up to and including the term in x^3.

1 + 1/2x - 1/8x^2 + 1/16x^3

Sorted.

But....

'Hence evaluate root 1.01 giving your answer to 8 decimal places'

What's the method i use to solve this?
2. Let x=0.01
3. So you make 1 + x = 1.01 etc ?

for future reference, just look at the bracket and compare it to what you want to find

for this you would've done
