Can anybody recommend a good book for an undergraduate Algebraic Geometry course?..

At the moment, I've been looking at things like the projective space, conics and conic intersections. So ideally, a book with a nice "introduction" to the topic.

I've been going through Miles Reid's "Undergraduate Algebraic Geometry" but I don't think it's a great book for an undergradate to be honest!

I don't know the quality of these notes as I don't study algebraic geometry, but there is a free set of notes online here: http://www.jmilne.org/math/CourseNotes/ag.html They might be worth looking over to see if you like them.

(I'm using the same guy's algebraic NT notes, and they're pretty good.)

I had a look at these and also used his notes for Algebraic Number Theory too, but I feel that these notes on AG are a little advanced and I'm a bit out of my depth when reading them.. =S

Excellent book, perhaps a little 'lite' but worth looking at

There is a set of notes by Nigel Hitchin on Algebraic Curves available at

Frances Kirwan's book "Complex Algebraic Curves" covers much the same material.

Also Karen Smith's book "An Invitation to Algebraic Geometry" is a lovely read, but may be rather advanced for what you're looking for at the moment.
