Help me!! Starting degree..change of uni watch

    • Thread Starter

    Hi everyone....

Right ok, couple of things...I am currently at uni studying a foundation science course as i didnt have the correct A Levels to go straight into a science degree. If I pass this year I am guaranteed a place for my chosen degree at the uni im at now.

But im thinking about applying to a few other unis just on the off chance, i like where im at now but it would be better for me to be closer to my family.

Anyway, point being, would it be ok for me to use the same personal statement i used last year to apply for my degree this year??

Also, should I change it slightly to include a mention about the course im doing now?? I know that I will enter this elsewhere on the form but i was wondering whether I should mention somewhere how much i enjoy the subject etc etc.

Any comments and help would be really appreciated.

Yeah one of my mates has applied for a transfer and has used the same statement. You might want to add something about how the course you're on this year has prepared you for your degree.. that would help.Good luck

There is certainly nothing to stop you using the statement, but as above you will hopefully gained a lot out of this year in terms of life experience and knowledge for your degree, so for a little bit of effort it would seem silly to not take advantage of these. Indeed, it would seem odd if you did not mention your foundation course and how this has inspired you further/prepared you.
