sorry this made me laugh so hard....
Mine broke when i was about 10 due to horse riding...have you ever tried using tampons? if it hurts you when you first use one than you've still got your hymen otherwise you've already broken it - like most girls!
what about using a dildo or something similar (like an electric toothbrush!??) then you can do it in your own pace and then when it comes to having sex you dont have to scream in agony....!!!! only a suggestion.

Also I think you should first look up some diagrams of what the hymen looks like on Google and then look at yourself with a mirror. I know I had no idea what it was meant to be/look like until I did that.

There's quite a bit of misinformation in this thread already...

    It's not a stupid question.

I just don't want it to hurt when I have sex for the first time.
    Fingers

Your own, or better yet your partners.

This is what my bf did for me --> no pain first time (not guaranteed no pain, maybe I'm just a freak, but I'm sure it'll make your first time a less painful one)

    :yep:

Not necessarily, I used tampons for years (and horse rode) and first time sex still hurt like a *****. Most of my friends use tampons, and none of them have had a pain-free time of losing their virginity.

Finally, someone who understands me
In all seriousness though, your first time will hurt regardless of how much you try to loosen your hymen.

I haven't watched porn and all my friends are virgins because they are all religious. I've never masterbated.

Fact about tampons: they don't necessarily break your hymen. The hymen is just a membrane that's a bit thicker at the opening of the vagina - it's usually a fold of membrane (looks like little flaps in a mirror for some women) that makes it hurt when it breaks. Anddddd, according to a number of sources, there's a hole in it - not a huge one, but there is a hole, which would be why blood from your period doesn't get caught and you can put tampons in without necessarily breaking your hymen.

Otherwise, I'd suggest dimming the lights, reading/watching something and just having a feel around. Remember lube! Good luck.

(edited due to embarrassingly silly mistake. Just a note...from own experience, and an experience with another girl, some people's hymens do seem a bit deeper in sometimes, not quite at the opening of the vagina. But that's obv an exception rather than the rule.)

Same with me. I've used tampons, was a gymnast, and was a horserider, but it still hurt when I lost my virginity.

Seriously OP, sex might not even hurt, it doesn't for everyone. But to be honest, if you're THAT scared of a little bit of pain, are you really mature enough to be thinking of having sex?

It's just not true. My first time didn't hurt.

Maybe for some people it will always hurt and there's not much they can do to avoid it.

But you shouldn't dread your first time as some horrible ordeal. It isn't painful for at least some people (like me) and you can do stuff to make it better. Pain is not inevitable

Don't resign yourself to pain ladies!

(But don't think there's something wrong with you if it does hurt, obviously)

I think girls are weird if it doesn't hurt on their first time. Or maybe I'm just jealous...
