    Does the first year of your university course count towards your overall degree mark?

    Mine counts for 10%.

    Depends on the university. Mine counted for 1/14 of my overall mark.

    Mine doesnt count at all.... I think thats the case for most. Its usually 40% second year, 60% third.

    Not usually but depends on the uni. You usually just need to pass the first year (40%) but it doesn't go towards your final degree mark.

    Mine doesn't, although it does in the sense that you need to pass it (get 40%) to continue on to 2nd year!

    It didn't for me, although you had to get 40 to pass. My second year was worth half what my final year is, so the split was 33.3% vs 66.6%. Check with your department, though. Different institutions and courses have different mark schemes.
