I can't stand plucking my eyebrows  does anyone know how much it costs to get them professionally done? I can cope with the pain but if I'm the one doing it then I stop...and now it's a half-finished job of yuck.

is it really that bad?
mine dont take that long.
what i tend to do is fix them up every couple of days so its easier to handle.
not sure how much it costs to get them done professinally but in cyprus its about 2-4 pounds so i reckon the same or a bit more.

Its about £7 round here. I can't do mine either it hurts more than bikini waxing stupid sensitive eyebrows and they bleed.

do u make them really thin tho?

try doing them after you've been in the shower, the warm water opens your pours up or something and makes it hurt less to pluck your eyebrows. i don't know, i like the pain.

oh ok didnt realise people could be that sensitive
on the other hand my friend doesnt pluck herts at all cos they go all red.
Try applying a little teething gel to your eyebrows to numb them before you pluck!

Tried that still hurts my friend who is a beauty therapist did them for me and she did cold compresses before but even she said that they look painful I have to do em when I'm not going out cos it makes the area round my eyes really red. It sucks she wanted to wax them but I know I could never stand the pain.
You could get them waxed. Not too painful and last about 5 - 6 weeks.

The ones I've done are for 10 pounds (at cambridge, where everything is expensive)... but I guess that its really worth it. It wasn't too painful when they did it, and I didn't have to touch it for at least 6 weeks!

i hate the sensation of having them plucked so i get mine waxed, it costs a fiver, and i only need to get it done every 2 or 3 months. it makes my eyes water but doesn't really hurt and it's lovely to have the soothing stuff on after!
What you need to do is wash your face, keep the hot water water running, and after pulling out each hair, put it under the hot water... doesnt tend to make it hurt all that much, doesnt bother me all that much, a few minutes pain to get the eyebrows in order is a small sacrifice

After you've been doing it for a while you're sort of numb to the pain. I've plucked mine for about 2 years and it doesn't hurt one little bit. And how can you say it hurts more than bikini waxing - are you mad?!

forget waxing - its all about threading!!
find a nice indian or iranian lady
the effects last just as long as waxing and the more u do it, the thinner the hairs are that come out.
really good cz then even while the hair is growing out, theyr not v noticeable and the shape of the eyebrow that they give u is still really strong so its not obvious that you're overgrown or anything

about making them really thin - theyll do them as thin as u want.
thin eyebrows are the LAST thing i want so i ask my threader to keep them as thick as possible. (my eyebrows are quite thin to start off with anyway really tho... i just dont want those pencil lines that some people seem to think look good :s-smilie: )

generally try and avoid making your eyebrows too thin. thicker eyebrows give make ur face much stronger and also u have more to work with so can give more shape etc...
