    Hey y'all...

Recently got my cast off, after three months... bascially did no exercise in that period of time. Went and played 90 minutes for Sunday football team... survived (somehow) was a real struggle though.

Gonna start going gym but to improve my cv system what would be the best thing to use... rowing machine, bike or treadmill?...

also how many kilometres would be a good distance and how many times per week?

What is your aim? To just be able to play 90 mins of football easily or what?

If you want to be able to run for hours the training is very different to that of training to be fit over 30 minutes.

If you can why not do all of them?, and road running is better than treadmill. As and when is up to you, you could workout everyday if you wanted, but maybe every other day would be better for recovery as you are just getting back into exercise.

Wouldnt running on grass help opposed to running on tarmac with the impact on my knees and everything ?

Aha, even so, still do your cv work outside. Just stick to weights in the gym. Roadwork will get you fit in no time.

As long as you have a good pair of running shoes running on the roads and pavements is fine.

Only you would know the answer to that depending on your current fitness levels. You could start running for 1 mile and then increase it as you get fitter.
