I am a guy who has always been shy around girls and has yet to have a girlfriend or a date. I've only recently developed some friendships for the first time with 1 or 2 girls. My problem is confidence.

Sometimes I can talk to a very pretty girl and be completely myself. I can be interesting and make them laugh. I've been told numerous times that I'm a really lovely guy too. My problem is, I can see the same girl another day and for no real reason I am very shy and feel very awkward. I never put anything on but I appear as two different people.

Anyone else have this problem, and any tips on how to stop it?

Stop overthinking things, maybe think up pre-planned subjects to talk about to help you build your confidence until it just comes naturally all the time.

Women do not like men with low confidence. Make her laugh and just have fun, thus eliminating these so-called 'awkward situations'.

Moreover, what are you shy about, if you're out on a date or talking to her you have no reason to be shy, if anything this should boost your confidence...

Definitely grow a set and fake it 'till you make it.

    Easy game.

Come to America! If you've got a British accent, you're like a magnet.

I think youre problem is that you realise the pretty girl actually likes you, hence the shyness. Therefore in order to equilibrate the situation, in order for you to act yourself, imagine she is your mum or that she is an ugly *****. Remember girls dont like wimps so be inquiring, provacative and funny!
