The desserts sound good, something for everything. But none of us are fishy people!
Im not a mushroom fan, but the ravioli could be good! Ta!

Definitely choose a theme first, then recipes can fit around that. Also, I'm all for different foods from different countries and so on, but put together in a three course meal, they often just don't work - consider what 'nationality' you want your food to be.

Spinach and riccotta ravioli is good aswell

Could try a home-made pate and toast to replace one fishy starter

I think you should choose a theme but probably best to cook less and remember before-hand prep works miracles on the night.

I would have a look at the 'Come Dine With Me' website, and use some of the recipes that have been on the show http://www.channel4.com/food/browse....a&keyDefs=true

yeah, like seeing as im haveing 3 of each course, maybe think of 3 countries.
Ive decided that one of them will be italian - minestrones soup, some sort of pasta, then tiramusu.

This sounds like an amazing idea for a party! Okay, here is my meal idea:

    Starters:

Carrot and ginger soup (it is maddeningly delicious and whets the appetite) with
    or
    Spinach and mozzarella stuffed peppers.

    Main course:

Chicken breast with herb mousse, with asparagus, sugarsnap peas, and roast potatoes
    or
    Sweet potato and red onion rosti, with " " " " "

    Desserts:

    Bramley apple cheesecake
    White chocolate fondant with raspberries.
    Nectarine and blueberry tart.

For my 18th, i've decided to have a Come Dine With Me - style dinner party, with about 15 friends.
I would do Thai. I have the 'Blue elephant cookbook' and would basically do something like this:

    Starters:
    Satay chicken and prawn
Thai papaya salad (with kicks of chilli, lemon etc)
Either fishcakes, or maybe you could do an appetiser before starters - a shotglass full of fragrant soup?

    Main:
    Mussaman Lamb curry
Chicken Green curry + vegetable version
    Phad Thai with king prawns

    Pudding:
    Jasmine Cake
    Coconut sorbet
    Asian fruit

id have to ask the guests what they thought of this, as i dont know how many like thai food! but the coconut sorbet sounds lovely!
