Half angle formula, Watch

just wondering, my books shows that half angle formula like this;

 cos^{2}\frac{A}{2} = \frac{1+cosA}{2}

can this expression also be written like this

 cos^{2}\frac{1}{2}A = \frac{1+cosA}{2}

Yes: \frac{1}{2}A and \frac{A}{2} represent the same number
