    Hi, I am going to apply to univesity next year. I want to go to LSE, Warick, imperial and UCL. I am studying pure maths, further maths, economics and biology. I am hopping 2 A*'s in maths, an A in economics and a B in biology. I am just wondering my chances of getting into these univerisity's.

    Well with a good personal statement, extra curricular activities and provided you get those grades, a very good chance.

    Make sure you get good AS grades as well... you should be fine if you do a good PS and get good references.

    Does he even say what degree he wants to do at university. Some courses at these universities are more competitive than others.

    don't top unis like youve suggested usually want a B or higher in english at gcse? I dont know for sure though..

    Economics is incredibly competitive at LSE, Imperial and UCL - not sure about Warwick. Warwick is very competitive for Maths (and I would imagine Imperial is too). They would probably look at your GCSE grades which might hold you back a bit.

    Best to talk to a careers advisor at your school/college. I would recommend finding somewhere less competitive that you would be happy to go to as an insurance choice.
