    it says i must provide a cover "note" saying which branch i want to apply for. should i put 2 or 3 paragraphs too or not

    Cover note? A paragraph at most explaining why you want that branch - it has a specific purpose not just a place for you to ramble on about your postive attributes.

    Usually it's just enough to say I saw your advertisement (where you saw it) reference: (....).

    I would like to apply and have attached my CV for your consideration.

    Then let the CV do the talking.

    Yes, it's just a plain, direct-to-the-point phrase to send along with your CV.

    thanks alot.

    so for example, if it was the branch in swansea i was applying for, could i put a sentence stating i commute close to the shop in swansea??? or should i leave it.
