Hey, I broke up with my ex (he dumped me) about 5 months ago, (we went out for 2) and i still think about him everyday. He's definately moved on as he has a new girlfriend who he's been with for a couple of months now but I just can't get him out of my head.

Sometimes it doesn't even make me angry or sad, its just there in my mind to the extent I don't remember what it was like to not think about him every day. I just cant stop thinking about him, our relationship, his relationship with his new girlfriend......

So what i'm asking is to anyone whose been in a similar position how did you get out of this stage, its really destroying me x

I'm only now in a serious relaitonship and I don't believe in non-platonic love (at least with the definition my generation seems to have).

However, hate is always good. Can't really force feeligns though. If you broke up because he did something bad or was horrible, then you have to realize the guy you 'loved' was a fake, a ruse.

It is. I love my ex. It's selfless to the extend I'm happy she's happy even if that means she has somebody else. I suppose we'll move on eventurally.

Yeah, and I can't move on until he's out of my head

It's like i thought about him so much ( i was infatuated for a good 5 months before we went out ) that it's become a habit i can't shake

It's ok when im busy or whatever, its only when im bored or on my own and my mind drifts....
