if you are living in the house still, who can you call to get a foster parent?

Will depend on the age really.
Social services usually will be the people to sort out a foster home etc

Oh right, is it legal just to keep the house and live in it until someone comes and gets you?

It's best to see if you have a relative that can look after you/keep an eye on you.
There are going to be bills to pay in the house...I'm not sure how that will be sorted.

I know that you can move out at 16 with permission but that is about the extent of my knowledge on laws regarding living alone I'm afraid. In the Govts eyes for the most part you aren't considered an adult until 18 so there should be something they will be able to do.

Most parents who have had a will done by a solicter will have a clause that states what should happen to the child if either one or both parents are unable to look after them in these sorts of circumstances.

Random one, has this happened to you? I really hope not, it sounds like an awful situation.

Usually in the will, it'll give a relative that will be the one who will then look after you. But yeah, you can stay in your house for a bit until that all gets sorted.

Are you ok? :hugs:
