    Hello!

I don't really understand this new A* at A Level business and need some help! I am doing French AS level at the moment but took my oral unit early. I recieved 78% which is an A and didn't know if that was high enough to be able to get A* overall if I get As and over 90% in my other units?
Sorry if that was confusing! Thanks

78% was an A for yours? I thought you needed 80% as standard for an A
But yes, what the previous poster said, 80% overall and 90% average in A2 units.

if it was the A2 oral unit that you got 78% in I don't think you can get an A* , but you can always retake

If it really was 78%, then no, it wasn't an A.

You can still get an A*. You just need to score really high in the written paper.
I'm assuming that the oral unit gets less credit than the written paper.

I think you should resit the oral unit.
You need to score 180/200 UMS this year.
I think the oral is 60 or 80 UMS. It is on WJEC anyway, not sure what board you're on. Check the specification on the website.
