    I just care too much

This question is stupid to be honest, why do they ask it? If it's a major weakness no one is going to be truthful about it. applicants will always give a reason that isn't so bad and make up a story how they're working to fix it. Of course if you tried that hard to fix a weakness like that e.g. I don't try hard enough, not careful enough, I'm not good at revising etc., you'll have probably fixed it.

Ridiculous question to be honest. The way applicants write their personal statments, all the extra curricular stuff and work experience, they going to try and put themselves in the best possible light. What's the point of listing a weakness in the interview for the purpose of making you look like a better future doctor in an interview? It really doesn't make any sense.

I'm very slow at learning maths. Mainly maths only though, everything else I'm fine. I always seem to get something wrong in maths at first unlike most people in my classes; but i always seem to be one of the only people who scrapes an A*. Its confusing, they all seem to know it in class then when we do mocks everyone gets B/C and occaisionally D but i would get an A.

In conclusion, maths a level for me is going to piss me off. But so many uni courses require it so I guess I have to.

Oh come on, clearly kidding. But anyway in all seriousness I'd say not coping brilliantly under pressure would be my major weakness and probably a worry for propsective medics.

I can't congratulate myself when I do well, because it's never 'good enough'. This is not the answer I gave at interview :p:

I don't think most people are 100% honest with this question. I mean I said something that is a weakness but is by no means my biggest weakness. I doubt they'd take me if I told them the ways in which I was flawed , or if most people if they were entirely honest! :p:

I'm not very creative, no idea how I'd overcome that.

And I overthink some things, I don't see it as a positive but I wouldn't say it incase the interviewer did.

Personally, i would just be honest with this sort of question. Imagine every candidate you ask taking the same approach and trying to turn a weakness into a positive. I think a lot of interviewers appreciate a no - b******* answer, though obviously don't say something that will cause too much concern!
