    Heya! im a 2nd yr history & american studies student and i am thinking a career as an museum education officer, I have looked at specifications for this job and i'll need a pgce, but i have no idea if i'll need to do primary or secondary...

    And...

    Also.. will i need to have had done some work experience to get onto the course, as the role requires knowledge of the cirriculum and not much teaching as such, i would prefer to get experience in musuems.

    PGCE History and just phone up schools and ask to sit in on some lessons. Simples.
