What's Wrong With 'Knackered Converse'...
If anybody is a fan of Arctic Monkeys, they will have undoubtedly heard the song, "A Certain Romance". Now, I personally take offence to the opening lyric: "Now they might wear Classic Reeboks, or knackered Converse or trackie bottoms tucked in socks...they'd probably like to throw a punch at me".
How dare the fine shoe that is Converse be uttered in a sentence with "trackie bottoms tucked in socks". Mortally offended, I say I am, mortally offended!
Whoever heard of a scally/chav wearing Converse?!!
Not happy with the Arctic...*Sulks*.

Cheer up. I've never seen a pair converses on a chav if that helps.

converse owned by NIKE make more than just the chuck taylors you're thinking of..
they make a lot of shoes.. used to specialise in basketball shoes, were funky too. anyway.. they make a lot of shoes!! so "chavs" might wear em.

And loads of chavs wear Converse, because of I Robot. After the film mentions Will Smith wearing them about 5 times in ten minutes, all the chavs think "OHMIGOD a celebrity is wearing dem dey must be like well trendy INNIT!!!!!"

Converse are supposed to be knackered. The scallies and chavs have nothing better to do than clean them with a toothbrush after every outing.
My converse are really clean, and I've had them for about 2 or 3 months. Haven't washed them once, they just don't seem to get dirty.

Are they dark coloured? Mine are navy blue and they look a little dirty around the edges but I like them too much to ruin them
You have to really wear them to damage them...they're damn good quality.One pair is black with blue flames running up the side (they're kinda dirty) and the other pair are just plain black and white ones.

Go to a music festival... or run through a recently ploughed field after a downpour. That'll sort them
And before you say it, yes, I'm serious.
Chavs don't wear Converse... well, not proper Converse anyway. Some borderline chav girls might wear the pink ones because they're pink... but then again, I'd wear a pair of them just because they're pink
Thats besides the point. Converse are meant to be dirtyfied. They look silly when they're all shiny and clean.

Chavs can and do wear what the frick they like, of course they wear converse and good on them, if it makes morons question the stereotype they have come to curse and love and begin to doubt themselves over it then i think that is fan-tabby-tastic.
