iPad for Fashion illustration and design? watch

I'm wondering if the iPad would be good for fashion illustration and design because it's quite small. It is only 9.5 inches tall and the illustration should be at least 10 inches...I know I can probably blow it up and minimize it and such but will that be a problem?

Any advice? Maybe someone know of another device that would be more useful for my major? (aside from papers and pencils )

Graphics tablet? To be honest, I don't think touch on the iPad is going to be accurate enough to suit your needs.

    no it doesn't

    it's a waste of time.

any other existing convertible netbook would be more useful, than the ipad

Graphics Tablet is what you want. iPad won't be precise enough, particularly as Apple won't go in for a stylus.

    flash is ******* crap. lol.

there's a reason apple iphone OS doesn't support it. Adobe are notorious for bad security. a few months back they automatically updated flash for you (without you being able to stop it), and gave you a massive security gap that wasnt there before.

flash is also just bad. you can do everything flash does in the latest HTML. its only old crappy sites that still use flash.

im not the expert, but all the tech wiz people know that flash sucks.

how often do you need to run mutliple apps?

people hate on the iphone for that, but I've never once needed to multitask

    other than ipod app.

o wait, iphone OS DOES multitask the iphone app.

It so happens that Flash is still used by >75% of online games sites, and >75% of video sharing websites, amongst others. It's not a case of it "being crap" or not, it's a case of Apple not providing useful functionality that many people will want :dontknow:

Proof people will buy anything Apple tell them they need. It's an iphone! But bigger! Bloody hell, the innovation is too much for me to handle.

Ipad. For those who are just too AWESOME too care.

Seriously though has anyone seen the lame review jobs did of it?

"Oh my it feels so good to see a whole web page at once"

"Look just tap here and it gets bigger"

    "Wow doesn't it look great?"

    Or variants upon them.

Usually have Firefox, foobar2000 and Windows Live Messenger open - with MiniLyrics also attached to the foobar window. Also got a program which does backups for me. So always! For all the good points about the iPad, that's fine, but I don't see how anyone can spin a lack of multitasking to be a good thing in any way.

    My personal favourite was:

"It is the best browsing experience you have ever had"
He's obviously never used Lynx.

If you really want to use a tablet for design, the Lenovo x### series with the touch sensitive screens seem pretty cool.

My netbook runs Adobe Photoshop CS4 perfectly fine same as the other Adobe programs I have, and really quick. I also use my graphics tablet with it. I also have loads of other applications too. I have an ASUS eee pc.

Ok say, you are writing an essay on word and you want to search something on the internet to help you with ur essay at the same time. You would have to keep closing the word document etc..etc..

Multitasking is the most vital thing for an laptop size device. Otherwise wtf are you gonna do with it.

there is no argument. for the speculation it generated it is a disappointment. only the gullible and/or impressionable would buy such a poor product.
